Total newbie needs your help

Ok so I am as new to this s you can get, but a friend and myself are interested in starting a Sports forum. I know about the 160.00 licence fee and that is no problem where I run into a problem is I know nothing about hosting or costs associated. What kind of host would I need? I have seen hosting for as low as ike $10 a month but I have no idea about bandwidth uses ect. and how the forum actually gets installed Please help a begginer out thanks :)

If you are just starting out, a small hosting plan will suffice and probably average about $5 to $10 per month depending on who you go with. Most hosts will offer assistance with script setup, so if you are having issues installing vBulletin, I am sure the host you choose would not have any problems helping out.

Installing vBulletin is rather easy and while it may seem difficult at first, it really is just a "click, click, click" installation process. The entire installation is done via the install script leaving you to only create a MySQL database for the installation.
