Hello all
I noticed since moving to a new server (Fedora core 4, pentium 2.8ghz, 1gb of ram) that when the forum is first loaded, there's a strange pause for about 1-3 seconds before data starts being downloaded to my browser?
No one else who uses it, has said anything, so it might be just my PC, but, the old server doesn't have that issue and is in the same data centre with the same company
The forum itself is at www.uoforums.com
Can some people load it for me and see if they get the same?
I "think" it only happens on the main page.

Probably a reverse DNS lookup? Check that HostnameLookups is off in your httpd.conf.

It's off
I was thinking it might be something to do with the dns stuff, but I wouldn't know where to look.
I've noticed other sites also seem to have the same problem on that server
www.uoportal.com for instance
yet this one, www.uobannerexchange.com loads instantly
Odd....

Ran a quick check, the DNS name server for the primary name server (ns1.worthingweb.com) was pointing at the wrong IP, not sure how or why, but I corrected that ,but it's stil the same delay
