Add this to your: You know you've been hanging around vB's support board soooooo long, that it's operating even in your sleep!

I haven't done much with 3.5.x. Haven't even touched the plugin system yet to see even how it operates. But that doesn't stop the association of this plugin system with one's sleep too. ;)

Must've been the thread about attachments BBCode in the suggestions forum. But I was dreaming of a different type of "plugin", of adding preformatted code into posts from the WYSIWYG editor from a drop down box similiar to the CSS editor (hmmmm, must be another thread there too!) -- be it a template for a admin's announcement letter, or even a table (#*%~+!#^#_@).

Hmmmmm....you know that's not a bad suggestion................

Which leads me to this question: how many vB suggestions have you made that came "out of the blue", from an idea from your sleep, or some other inspiration?

I've had plenty of ideas, but I've only suggested a few. Most of the ideas I've had seem to be better suited for hacks than an official feature of vBulletin.

Correct.


I have had some ideas for vBulletin that are thought out pretty well but it is more of a program that integrates into vBulletin. I'm paying someone to code it for me right now. Hopefulyl be done by january sometime.

Its your "vBlog" on steroids.

It's strange, but the dream was like vB on steroids. :/ Drop down boxes with preformated code for routine admin tasks (right in the post editor) -- be it a group announcement, to an ugly table.

It must be that thread on the attachment, and have no clue why (maybe it's a hint to make mod or something).

Which reminds me, I got that php security book in today. Coincidence??

Hmmm I wonder if dreams about vB requires a seperate license? :D

The closest I had a dream about vB is watching a tech show in a dream and a story about Jelsoft buying another forum company.
