MySQL upgrade

I am currently on MySQL 3.23.X, I was thinking about doing an upgrade to 4.x, so I can take advantage of full text search and drop my searchindex.

What are some vB related considerations to make during this upgrade? How is database import handled?

The MySQL docs should cover everything on upgrades. just make sure you backup first just incase, 99% of the time the mysql upgrade goes ok, but you want to be safe.

Of course I'd do a backup, but ultimately, if things 'go right' just doing the software update should take care of everything? No changes made to vB itself?
