Their shared account servers not only has mod_zip, it's Fast CGI enabled plus has eAccelerator, standard. They also have mysql 4.1 up and running (so it's ready out-of-the-box for 3.5.0). Haven't encountered any webhost that has all of those features for a shared account -- which makes them a creme-de-creme vB host (with a nice pricing scheme, and file only bandwidth for a price break too). - about asmallorange

I wanted to get a dedicated host from asmallorange, but they're sold. Would any dedicated host be able to set this up for me? I need a managed one I believe....because I am not aware of what to do with a dedicated host. So does anyone have any recommendations?

You need to find a dedicated provider that offers managed hosting and/or an admin for your server. Getting a dedicated server is not something that you should look at lightly. You need to be able to secure and maintain it.

If you're not sure of how to manage a dedicated server, I would not suggest looking into a dedicated solution unless you find a complete managed solution. I know that HostingZoom.com offers managed dedicated servers as does Eleven2.com.

I've spoken with a few of the guys at Eleven2 and their all great people. If the pricing matches your budget, I'd given them a try.
