Ok heres my situation. I run an auto enthusiast website (forum) but I have been very disapointed at the service I get at invisionpower.com who I pay for my forum to be up. I am now looking for a new and better place to run my website and I have read good things about Hostrocket.com but I would like to know if they offer free Vbullentin and are they fully customizeable as I know some companies like to put a certain limit on what we can do under forum control panels, I would also like to know since im currently using an IPB Invision Board if hostrocket.com can transfer all my files into the Vbullentin forum (if available)? Will I also be able to install a portal on my site? Will I also be able to pay in monthly basis instead of paying in a few months in advance?

thank you,
-jeff

Hmmmm, yet another one....

If this site had a leaderboard banner with "vBulletin is NOT freeware", someone will still ask, "do they offer vBulletin for free?" Especially with a IPB lead in somewhere. It's almost like a canned script.

If you have specific questions about hostrocket hosting, ask them. I'm not sure why you think that asking if you can pay monthly here is a better idea than asking the company providing the service. Again, ask hostrocket if they transfer files. I doubt they will, and you will have to pay even if they do. Grab ImpEx from vBulletin and do it yourself, it can convert IPB databases to vB without much stress. Again again again again again ask hostrocket if you can install a portal. I see no reason why not, but it's their rules if you can't, not vBulletin's.

And vBulletin is not free. Period.
