Dear Vbulletin Team ! I hope you are in the best of your spiritual and physical health.

I am ordering a dual 2.4 GHz Xeon Processors server . I want to ask that what information I need to give the dedicated server host when ordering the server? The server which we are running now has only 6 GB partition for MySql database and our database size is 4-5 Gb. This means that we are running out of space for database and this is the mistake we made last time when ordering the server. Here is our forum statistics.

MySql database size : 4 - 5 Gb

Your database is that large? are you storing large files within it or something, I doubt very much it would be that large with 500k of posts with normal attachments.

There is not much information your host will need for this. It might be a good idea to contact their sale or technical support to asl what default partitions they will be creating on your disk(s). If this don't suit your needs, you might ask them to create custom partitions.

Why the heck would you give mysql its own partition? If you are running out of room on the MySQL partition, try moving it to another partition that has room to accomodate it.
