Once I get the install done(hopefully tomorrow) what stage will I be at exactly? I mean, will I now have a forum that I can look at? Will I be able to post on this forum?
Can I do any cosmetic configuring with VBlite? If so or otherwise is it just a matter of editing the php files or do you use the Contol Panel(I haven't seen it yet)?

You will be able to set names of forums and descriptions through the admincenter. You will be able to do some basic cosmetic layout also through the admincenter. vBulletin Lite has NO registration option and is really only meant to test your server to make sure you can run vBulletin with PHP/MySQL.
