Hi all,

I'm using a clean installation of vbulletin 3.5 and moving from webcrossing (which was listed as a tier2 supported platform for impex).
I followed the instructions and managed to import all the users from the webcrossing sgml file into vbulletin ... (fantastic work on this tool by the way!!!).

My question is, where did the threads go? I see all the members, and even used the "update counters" to try and rebuild the threads / forums and posts ... but I still don't see anything.

Am I supposed to create forums first and then try importing? Or does impex only support importing of users with webcrossing.

Reaaaally appreciate any advice / help on this.

Unfortunately I'm still on a localhost machine (we're just testing at the moment). So there wouldn't be a way to view it at the moment. I guess I can move to a host if this is the only way to fix it, but do you (or anyone) have any other suggestions?

What version of web crossing are you importing from ?

There should be a Forum created for importing the webcrossing threads into is it in the Forum manager ?

Save the display order to ensure the cache is rebuilt.

Save the display order to ensure the cache is rebuilt.

We were on a hosted solution ... so I guess we're on webcrossing version 5.
As far as the forum, like I said, it was a clean install, so I only have "Main Category" and "Main Forum" in the forum manager.

I couldn't find the "save the display order" ... but I'll happily give it a try if you think it will work.

Save display order is a button at the bottom of the forum manager page, under where all the forums are listed.

yeah I see it ... I got nothing I'm afraid.

I think it's a problem with the import script because I checked the mysql db and there wasn't any data in the tables that you'd expect to find content. (ie: posts)

I'd be happy to send you the sgml file if you think that might help. I know there are quite a few people who have been trying to figure out how to move webcrossing.

The SGML file is very convoluted and complicated so any changes that webcrossing have made might confuse the importer.

If you PM me a URL to download it from I'll have a look at it.
