In AdminCP I cant see an option under maintenance for Import/Export.
The only option I have is Import in its own category
When I click that I get
Warning: main(./impex/systems/eve/000.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /impex/index.php on line 268
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './impex/systems/eve/000.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/soaps/public_html/impex/index.php on line 268
The thing is that EVE is an import done 11 months ago, I have deleted all the old IMPEX files and uploaded the new version and changed the config so Im not clear where its getting EVE from. I am trying to import an Open BB board and the config reflects this.
Thanks

Ok I deleted the config and started again
I now get
;vBulletin:Impex Config File
Warning: main(./): failed to open stream: Success in /impex/index.php on line 74
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/soaps/public_html/impex/index.php on line 74
Could this mean the address to the database we are exporting from is wrong?
Im not quite clear how it should be set out if its not localhost

That means either you are using an old config file or impex_language.php isn't there. I would suggest deleting all the impex files, and dropping the table vbfields then downloading and re-installing the latest download, then going to ....../forum/impex/help.php and deleting the session.
If you are importing to a vBulletin that has been imported to before, ensure you make a backup before you do anything, run the import on a test site, and remove any previous import id's.

Ok thanks. I will get someone to do that as I have no idea what dropping tables means. The first bit I can do, no problem.
Thanks :)

If it is a consecutive import this can help :

When we opened the board it was a huge export from eve, this one is a smaller import from a board we aqquired which is Open BB.
Is that a bad idea? Sorry if I sound ignorant, the last import ran smoothly thanks to you guys.

I thought I recognised the username ;)
No, merge imports are fine. Just read the last link I sent about cleaning up the database and practice the import from OpenBB into a test copy of your current vBulletin board first a few times.

Yes that was me with eve, actually it was such a good experience I got some of my fellow eve users to convert. :)
I have done backups but we don't have a test forum. I have asked the host to create it but it seems to not be happening. Not great I know. So I have backed things up so I can revert back again.
I will remove the ID's then as a first step. Thank You :)

You could create a sub folder and install vBulletin into that, and use the same database just with a diffrent table prefix.

Hi again.
This was giving me a headache so I walked away from it but now I have been told its urgent so Im back to the drawing board.
Ok I need the dummys guide for this because I cant remove the Id's because I cant access the page.
I have deleted all the files and started again but still get :
Warning: main(./impex/systems/eve/000.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /impex/index.php on line 302
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './impex/systems/eve/000.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/soaps/public_html/impex/index.php on line 302
So I gather because of the old ID's its look for eve.
By the way cleaning up the ID's by clicking that link (when it works), won't delete anything will it? As in posts/members etc?
Sorry to be so naive about this.

By the looks of it, its looking for the eve files because of the old session.
Try going to :
yourboard.com/impex/help.php to remove the session and importid's.
Though backup your database before doing that.

Thanks. Ok we set up a test board at http://www.soapchat.net/test/ and copied the database did the import to it and everything went smoothly following the steps you suggested deleteing the ID's on help.php
So the next step was to do this live but I went to http://www.soapchat.net/impex/help.php and now all I get is:
Unable to add cookies, header already sent.
File: /home/soaps/public_html/impex/help.php
Line: 17

Ok no worries, oddly it suddenly worked. :D
The import is done. Thanks Jerry, it was a really simple process and no problems at all.
Thanks :D
