1) I tried to import my users(banned and good) from my UBB, but the banned users from my UBB, are now free to post on my Vb, Vb doesn't differentiate between imported users. What I need is a script built-in the Vb that can import my good users and keep my banned users banned for Vb.

2) Please include in the next release: Kier's awesome "Custom Avatars as Files" hack, that allows you to store all your custom avatars as files, rather than in the mySQL database.

Having the following benefits:
· Avatars folder can be protected by .htaccess (Apache only) to prevent bandwidth stealing
· No SQL queries or PHP code required to display custom avatars - server load decreases
· No cacheing issues with Internet Explorer 5.5, so server bandwidth use should decrease.

Please make it happen. Thank you.

1) The new import scripts, due for release very soon now, will differenciate between regular and banned members.

2) We can't add this feature to vB2 right now, as we are very close to release, and this could possibly introduce new bugs, which is the last thing we want...

However, the avatars-as-files hack (or code that will allow the same functionality) will be included in vBulletin 2.1.

That is good to know I will not turn avatars on until this happens because we have a very slow server now. We are getting ready to upgrade though.

Kier--

Your Avatar-File hack is quite convenient, however... I sort of like have the avatars on a database rather than on file because I only need to backup the database file. Would it be possible that on Vbulletin 2.1 you could turn the avatar-to-file hack off?

Yes. That is already an option if you have the avatars as files hack.
