Just curious if anyone has been or has previously used either of these in powder form and if so, which brands do you most reccomend? I have been a long time protein user, as a supplement, though a friend of mine was recently mentioning both Protein & Creatine in use with each other when working out.
He purchases his from Wal-Mart and while I see nothing wrong with that, I am just curious if anyone else uses the above and if so, what type and brands they do use.

I used creatine for a year and damn did it make a difference.... then I got lazy after I got out of sports and no longer do that stuff... I need to get back into it but again... too lazy haha
It was the pill however not the powder..

My friend got me as a gift a massive jug of protein powder that contains leucine, which supposedly helps with muscle growth when immediately taken after a workout. It's too early for me to tell if there are any results, though. It's not the best-tasting product out there, but if I drink it fast enough, I don't mind.

I have been using CreaPure, it is a smal container about 300 grams. 1 Teaspoon will give you 5 grams of creatine monohydrate. Nothing else nothing more.

My biology teacher says creatine is an energy store in your muscles. He doesn't recommend delivery via your digestive system because it gets in your blood and is hard on your kidneys. Some body builders end up peeing blood after a while.
I don't know anything about protein powder or other supplements. I don't use any of them.

There seems to be alot of misconceptions about the effects of creatine (both negative and positive). I personally, from experience and from observing others, have not found anything wrong. Studies have shown nothing wrong with the use of creatine after a workout -- but has been suggested not to use for long periods of time.

Well that tip was from the mouth of a PhD in biology. I would it some credit.
As always, you should do your own research. Seek out the credible sources.

I understand, but many combined PhD have done research. Many bringing up conflicting results, but so far there seems to be alot of misconceptions out there.

...Many bringing up conflicting results...
Probably safer not to use it then.

I am currently using Six Star Body Fuel Creatine and Protein powder, just thought I'd get some reccomendations on others (using this as this is what my friend suggested). The taste on both is fine, one is vanilla and the other fruit punch (the creatine).
Kinda a combination of the two & lots of chicken :). I've not heard of any medical issues when using creatine, though it doesn't suggest taking too much (i.e. 1-2 glasses per day).

I worded it wrong. Many seem to look at the minor conflicting results that come up -- usually caused by an external variable that cannot be controlled.

I don't use Creatine, therefore it must be bad.
You use Creatine, therefore it must be good.
Truth.
