I just took a look at their site and noticed that they offer "unlimited" transfer. This is from their policies:


PowWeb does not charge for bandwidth and you will never be forced to pay any extra hidden charges. However, from time to time, we may find it necessary to look for clients who are using excessive amounts of resources. If you are found to be using excessive amount of resources, we will contact you and attempt to find a reasonable solution that is in the best interest of both parties.

Past experience shows that you should be wary of hosts offering unlimited bandwidth. At least if there is a set limit, you KNOW what you're paying for. With unlimited, you never know what the limit is (and believe me, there IS a limit). Who knows, they may consider 5GB/month to be "excessive," then you will be forced to move.

my only problem is that no one has told me how much hd space and bandwith i need for a medium board or a big board like vbulletin official board.
that is why i keep searching and searching and i cant decide which is the best host for vbulletin :(
i cannot afford a dedicated server, so that is out of the question.

How many members do you currently have? If you have less than a thousand, you should be pretty safe with 20 GB bandwidth. Of course, that's just a rough estimate. You may need less or you may need more. It all depends on the amount of usage your board gets.

Disk space isn't too critical because vBulletin pages are dynamically generated. It sames quite a bit of space. You probably need only a couple hundred MB space, if that.
