Thanks cal - I'm not sure why that one has not been picked up before.
BTW, are you the same cal as the one of UBB Hackers fame?

Just downloaded the lite version - there's a semi colon missing on line 61 of global.php. Just thought I'd say.

Here's an example of how polls were implemented on proprietary software, The Motley Fool's message board. http://boards.fool.com/Message.asp?id=1090310000013000
I think it has everything I would want, the option to see the poll results without voting, the ability to post replies, and a graphical representation of the results. It's definitely worth checking out.

P.S. I still need help setting up my vB, if anyone wants to give it a shot, check out the "Interland Installation" thread in the installing questions board.

I think when they had server problems the system date and time got screwed up.

There was a bug in the software that switched AM/PM dates I believe.

I think that the bug was that our hosts turned the power off :(
The server was rebooted for one reason or another, and the date ended up being 12 hours ahead of itself. When I fixed it, a few posts were in the wrong order.

Well I'm gonna be using vB because my UBB is crippling the server I'm on. After I get done making some templates to make it a complete UBB clone (yes, I know I'm evil) I'll be all set.
I have fallen in love with the vB so much that.... I haven't visiting any UBB site in the past 12 hours (which for me is quite amazing). :D

I haven't left UBB behind - I'll be waiting for v6 before making any decisions on that. I will, though, be working on both (for work clients) in the very near future.
This should be an interesting quarter for bulliten boards.
Just a thought :)

My UBB license expires very soon and there is no way I'll be paying the $200 for a new one. ;)
Plus I've fallen in love with the vB's speed.
