Well, I just signed up for an account over at kikko.com {also kikkonetworks.com} and was wondering if anyone else has used these people before. So far it has been a nightmare. Not only can I NOT get mySQL to run, but it looks as if PHP isnt even installed! :( This is making me angry. I chose the advanced plan (300 GB transfer a month for only $80) so it seems as if they should be on top of this more. I hope this gets resolved quickly, and hope you will share your opinions of their service!
Thx:)

300 Gb/month? $80? that, in and of itself would have made me suspicious.

Actually it is true, but the plan i have is different:
eAdvanced
A high end package that gives a lot of freedom to your site. Very inexpensive compared to other hosting providers. The space and e-mail accounts in this package puts it in high demands
Specs:
Disk Space: 1000 MB
Data Transfer : 300 GB / month
Free WebMail, Unlimited POP, Unlimited Aliases
NT/Windows 2000 or UNIX / LINUX (control panel)
SMTP, FTP, Telnet, SSL, Cold Fusion, ASP, ChiliSoft ASP, JSP, Servlets, Frontpage extensions, CGI/Perl, PHP, MS SQL Server or MySQL, custom dll, custom components, shopping cart, 1 IP Address included.

Fortunately everything is fixed now. We had to move to a different server, as the one they put us on didn't have any of that installed:confused: SOOOO, now we are fine :) Speed is fantastic too!
It is NOT 20 a month, it is 80, which is the absolute best you will be able to find for 300 GB amonth!

There is no way they're going to allow 300 GBs of transfer. They might as well promise unlimited bandwidth. Something tells me that if you hit a certain "magic number" they're going to boot you.

Think about it: Most hosts charge between $4 and $10 per gigabyte after X GBs that are included. For $80 you could probably expect between 20 and 100 GB included. So we're talking at a minimum 200 GB above included. 200 x $5 = $1000. I don't think that they can let you use 300GB and make money on the deal, which is what web hosts (like any other business) are there to do.

I was thinking that it must be a typo and they meant 30gb. That would be more reasonable for a reputable host at that price.

If it wasn't a typo, and you start using that much bandwidth, I would almost be willing to bet that they will find some reason (likely overloading the server) to boot you.

Martin, it cant be typo
eBasic plan has a 50GB monthly transfer

i'll go with VO by the end of the month :D

can anoyne suggest me a VO plan?
maybe i'll order a Venture 3 shared server
will that be enough to support Vbulletin??

If we DONT get booted, then I have just found the best host on the web :D:D
