I'll toss in the Wizarding Realm again. Things are a bit different than before. I kept it simple and clean, using well coordinated color scheming (warm earth tones) and few, but effective template changes. I wanted to make it as pleasing as possible for the intended audience and keep the familiarity and ease of use associated with a stock board. This board has seen some rough times. It started out as a vBulletin forum, had several server crashes, setup an IPB board, had another server crash, bought a new server, and now finally, we're back to vBulletin and after a massive import, tweak and cleanup effort, are having the time of our lives. We aren't a large group, maybe about 20 "real" members who have posted consistantly over the past year, and I don't plan for the board to become anything more than that. If I can please the members I have, then I am happy.
