Hi,

Does anybody have an experience in converting Invision board version 1.3 to VBulletin 3.08 or 3.5 ? I have a pretty big forum which is growing day by day and would like to migrate it to VB, but before buying a license, I want to be sure that I do not loose my posts or any other important information.
Thanks

We've had quite a few customers import their IPB 1.3 data. You can read about the import script here:

Just wanted to say I love your forums and plan to join. I am going for my MCP certification. Sorry this is off topic.

I have experience doing this type of conversion. If you had allowed html or what not on signatures, it will now look horrible if you convert and don't allow it (so on big boards look out).

Note: It was not my choice to have allowed html in the first place.

I advise against turning on HTML in signatures on any forum software package. But ok, that's not the point.

I have done quite some 1.3 to 3.0.7 imports and they all went great.

Ok, thanks for the responses.
I did not allow HTML in signatures, it's just I do not really understand what "50% of permissions" means. This may require a lot of tweaking after migration...

Roxie, thanks a lot, see you on our forums and good luck with your exams.
