3.07>3.5 Test board: Structure Only-no threads/users

In preparation for 3.5 Gold I would like to install a 3.5 board for testing, (as per requirements), and import our current 3.07 our board - as it is structured - but without thread contents and users.

The board has very minimal changes in styles and templates from the vB default.

Appreciate any tips as my partner will be doing the work, a newbie to importing, she's trembling with trepidation at my request ...

There is no importer for 3.5.0 yet. This willl not be available until the final version is released.

Okay, would the step be to install/import? a copy of our current 3.07 into a private test area, then upgrade it to 3.5?

I'm a little confused whether we should install a duplicate of our site, or doing it through an import.

Main thing is we want to just want check out and work with our current board forums structure using 3.5 , but don't want thread info/attachments/ user data etc in the test site.

Yes, you can install a 3.0.8 test forum, restore a backup of your database to this, then upgrade that to 3.5.0 for testing.
