I asked before I bought Vbulletin about wheather IPB data can be transfered to Vbulletin and someone said it was posible but when I bought it today I can't seem to find the converter anywhere and it seems that impex has no manual on how to work it , I do not even know whats it used for. so I came here to post whatever stuff I do not know.
My IPB forums is at http://www.animequazo.com/forum
My Vbulletin forums is at http://www.animequazo.com/forums
How do I take my IPB forums and transfer the data into Vbulletin?

First off...
./impex/ImpExConfig.php is in that directory.
Second off...
You need to have that impex directory in your vbulletin folder. Then the option will show up in the AdminCP.
Third off...

Find Import articles and it will help you walk right through it!

ImpEx can be downloaded on the main page of the members area. Just click Download ImpEx. All you do is upload it to your forums directory and then run it in the Admin CP under Import & Maintenance. You select IPB2 and run the modules for it.
Hope this helps...

You need the IPB database not the files.
You will need to get a backup of the IPB database and restore that with the vBulletin database so ImpEx can read from it and import the data into vBulletin.

I don't understand what you mean, the phpBB to IPB import works on the same principle.

Its diffrent cause u have to have both of the forums in the same server and u use a converter to manualy convert to invision while vbulletin , u have something called impex which i'm still not clear on what it is but I was told from you to backup the db so now its on my desktop via .gz file so I have to import this invision mysql data to my vbulletin forum but I can't seem to understand how it works , in phpbb to invision u have something that u just fill up some forms and input the password and databases name and then u just convert it.

ImpEx is the system that does the import (conversion).
You can have the database on a diffrent server if you like, though the import will be much slower and you will lightly have remote permissions issues.
