Importer question

Hi all

I noticed that you have an importer for "phpBB (2.0.4 - 2.0.14 MySQL and MSSQL)) (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showpost.php?p=657606&postcount=2)", but I was wondering if you had one for phpBB 2.0.16

This is because I am thinking of importing boards from www.getphpbb.com (http://www.getphpbb.com) (one of those free board hosting sites), but the Admin control panel says "Powered by phpBB 2.0.16". The board itself is also mildly modified, but I'm sure that could be dealt with.

I suppose my question is whether there's a way to import the data or not. Thanks in advance.

getphpbbb - can you get a copy of your database? If you can, you can just send it up to your new host and it should be fine.

As for the importer, it should be perfectly fine. There have been other people before you asking this very same question and it's imported quite successfully :)

The current importer should work as reported by a couple of users. If it doesn't we'll fix it to make it work.

Please note however that we can only import the standard phpBB data. It will not import data from any modifications you've installed.

Yeah, I'm doing this to help out a friend, and he can get a copy of the database for a fee (always for a fee, eh), so that's not a problem.

I also didn't think that it would be possible to impoirt the data from the mods, which is fine by me.
