View Full Version : Redirection does not work after visiting a vBulletin site

Hi,

I have found this quite annoying and very consistent with vBulletin sites. I don't know if there is a fix for this?

Every time after I visit a vBulletin forum, the one I host or anybody else's, the redirection on my Firefox browser stops working. I need to restart Firefox, and it works again.

I think that IE does not get affected by this. Is there a setting that I need to change in my Firefox, or this is a bug in vBulletin?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Do you mean the JavaScript redirects?

I've never heard of such a problem with either Firefox or vBulletin, so I'd say that it's a problem with your computer.

I am not sure what kind of redirect. Let me describe it to you.

It is consistent in Firefox at home or at work, so it is not my computer(s).

After visiting a vBulletin site, I visit another site which can redirect me to a subweb of the site. That stops working. Or, I can visit a phpBB site, the redirection of the pages in that BBS stops working.

I shut down Firefox, and restart the Firefox. It starts to work, until I visit another vBulletin site.

What do you think?

Sorry, I've never heard of anything like this...

Ok, I am guessing here. Please guide me.

If vBulletin uses Javascript redirection (I am guessing), will the settings in Firefox's Javascript have an effect on it?

Currently, in my Firefox Advanced JavaScript Options, I have these two checked:

Raise or lower windows
Disable or replace context menus

The other 4 options are not checked.

Do I need to check any of the other 4 options?

Thanks.
