Hello,

How easy would it be to make vbulletin similar to ezboard, all users can create their own forums + edit colours etc.

Thanks for the time

you'd need a big license for that...but it would be easy with the db backbone

It would be brilliant if a feature like this was somehow incorporated. It's a service that I have been wanting to offer our readers for a long time now.

This has been brought up MANY times and I always the same way...

I can definitely see where this would be a VERY popular feature but if I were making any money from this proggie there is no way in hell I would include this feature in a $160 license.
If someone can go to your site and set up a good forum for free, why would they want to come pay me $160 for a license?

If were the developer and I were to add this feature, it would be to a "Deluxe" edition and the price would be a damned sight higher than $160.

Just playing Devil's Advocate....

Yes you have a great point Martin,

I would not mind paying $160 for this feature, besides NO commercial bulletin board has this feature installed.

The point is anyone can open a forum customise styles etc, but all members are in 1 database.

It would crush all others eg. Opentopic, wwwthreads, phorum etc. I think i might have a go at adding this feature myself.:)

Interesting thoughts!

If someone wanted to act as a vBulletin host they would require a separate license for each instance of the code on the server.

However, if you let your users each create their own forum, then I can see no problems (beyond the coding of it :) ) license-wise.

I'll have a think about this feature.
