Images?

Just one thing holding me back from switching over to vB, I need the ability for users to upload and post .jpg or .gif image files.....any ETA on this feature? Thanks.

Well... I hope this feature IS planned (but I can see some will want to turn it off)... and would like it to be able to handle any files types (not just images) ;)

Oh I am sure someone will create a hack for this (well hopefully)... but I was hoping to have as many of the features that I need included in the standard vB package. Actually most of them are, this is just one of the biggies that isn't :)

(Of course, I would be *almost* as happy with a hack) ;)

I used to create hacks for ubb in perl and I heard that sql is different but not difficult to pick up. And since I've already created image hacks and other hacks for the ubb would it be easy for me to create one for vb?

Yes - this is planned as a new feature in vBulletin.

wow! Great going john! Although...I wish I knew earlier or else I would not have gone through the trouble of creating a different image hack. :p
