Seems we got a bit more in the webhosting forum... this leads me onto an idea.

how about being able to restrict posting in a particular forum until you reach a certain post number. Setting the post number to 25 for the webhost forum would deter almost all spammers i would think.

Spam is inevitable and you can't get around it. I think the moderators here do a solid job, but if some action is taken, perhaps the web hosting forum would need each new post or thread approved before it's viewable. That's the case at a forum I participate at.

true... the idea was really to save the mods some work but also to suggest a new feature all in one :)
