We run a big community with Invision 1.3 (about 2gigs of space in messages and like 30.000 users)
I need to know how possible is to convert this to vBulletin.
I know the tool "impex" exists, but I think we need something from the command line
Please answer me because we want to change our forums to vB ASAP
Thanks a lot!:)

How many posts ? I've seen 2 million ish post imports before.

Well I've yet to see a board to break it, takes time sure, break no.
CLI is an ImpEx2 thing atm.
I could do a test import to ensure it would work. More importantly than impex, the PHP memory limit.

What do you mean by the php memoery limit? is this import done via browser? Can it be done via ssh?
Thanks a lot

Yes, php memory limit, yes by the browser, no it cannot be done via SSH (or the CLI) as of right now.

Zachery:
How about php-time out when performing the conversion?

You could up it or disable it during the import if you are worried, 120~ should be good.
