I have a good running website. Earlier I used a custom session management and no forum. As I wanted to install vbulletin I installed phplib 7.2c too. I customized vbulletin to work with the phplib session management. Since this update my server is much slower. There aren't many accesses to the forum. My ad-script is phpadsnew which runs on this server too.

Server: Celeron 500, 128mb.

Before I installed phplib and vbulletin the server was running quite good. But now he's swapping all the time.

Does phplib and vbulletin needs so much RAM and CPU?

I don't know about PHPLib but how does it perform with the standard vB without modifications?

If you can post the traffic you're gettign we might be able to help more with some optimizations to my.cnf and php.ini

Before the update I had about 20gb Traffic per week. 20'000 Visits, 650'000 Impressions.

You really need more RAM - 256, 384 or even 512 will hopefully help to sort out your problems.
vB and phplib are fairly intensive compared to plain HTML etc as they use MySQL heavily.

On a web server you don't want to skimp on the RAM.

My server has 30k visitors on it daily and it spikes to well over double that fairly often.

We put a full Gb of RAM in it!
