php as image

i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. i am trying to display an image using a php script (similar to the ip display signature). i am trying to put something in that calls a png file to display certaing stats from my radio station over the banner. i dont know if i cant find the setting to allow php in the image tags or what.
