How to move a thread

I want to move a thread from one forum to another. My choices for moving a thread are via author or date. I just want to select a particular thread of an author (not all his threads in the forum) and move it. Also the dates in the thread span several weeks. How do I do this? Is there a way to view the thread and then just click on move it?

At the bottom of the page of the thread you want to move, you will see the following:

Admin Options:
Open / Close Thread
Move Thread
Delete Thread
Edit Thread

Select "Move Thread", and then select the destination forum.

That just gives me the options listed above in my original post.
