I am running a board for debate of stocks - and as you know investments can also be outside your own country

Some of my users would lige us to run the board in an english AND a danish version.

Here I am not talking about the actual post by users - but about the "wrap" - e.i. all the funktions in vBulletin.

Changing the look/lanuage of a single forumdisplay is simple - just making new forumdisplay templates etc for the forum - but alle the other funktions (register - email to friend - profile etc etc) are still our native danish (as I have translated all templates)

Also - I am thinking of have TWO "wraps" for one forum - e.i. you can look at the forum trough a danish wrap or an english wrap.

I think this could be done by templates - and in a set of forumdisplay.. templates change $forumid to relevant number.

However - doing all this will be a very big workload - which is somehow OK, but I am also thinking of what happens when we later upgrade the software to version xxxxx. I would NOT like to have to do the same work again and again.

Do you have any ideas of what is the best way to do this?

It would be nice if this could be done trough control panel - e.i. that teh control panel had a lanuage section where all english text could be translatet - and then in the userprofile etc one could select an option - english - "coustom lanuage" etc

just an idea?

that looks very interesting - how did you do this?? I am very interestet

It makes a partial solution - e.i. you have translated some of the tekst to multi-lanuage - my hope is to translate all (but the actual posts). But I do not know how difficult that would be.

Would you be so kind to tell what you did?

maybe later we can work together on a solution, that will also be easy when having vBull. upgrades installed.

Huss' solution is in the form of a hack for the code.

In the next version there will be support for multiple sets of templates. You will be able to specify a completely different set of templates on a per forum/category level.
