I thought signatures that set cookies weren't acceptable on these forums I'm getting sick of cookies trying to be set just for someone's signature.
The previous times I've run into them, the user was unaware of the fact and corrected the problem.
Are these sorts of signatures allowed here?

Not sure what the rules here at vbulletin.com say about that. You will have to wait for someone from the Staff to reply on that.
But i agree with you. I also noticed this more and more lately. They get blocked on my side, but still, it just irritates me because it could mean a privacy risk for user that are not so well protected.

It's just a needless annoyance, esp. when I accept/deny cookies as they come up. I don't need the clutter.

What sigs are you referring to? It's possible i automatically block them.
As for limitations on sigs that set cookies, there is no such restriction in the forum rules.
