Keep Same Userids

Is there any way possible for me to keep the same userids as the users had before when doing an import?

The import is from a phpBB 2.x.

Reason I need to keep it is because there was software created on the phpBB board (not by myself) and in order for that software to work correctly they need to have the same userids.

Will this require modifying the Impex system?

No, its not possible, it would require modification...

The origional id's are kept as user.importuserid.
