First of all I want to say that vB is awesome. Setup is much faster then UBB and I love the features. vB has been my savior because my host would not put up with my UBB anymore.
A few suggestions :
On my old forums I had 2 forums with special permissions that are currently not possible with vB. One was a forum only Admins could create topics and members can reply but not create topics. I find this useful for making announcements with the ability of getting feedback.
The other was where any member could only create topics but no replies.
I hope you will concider these options for a future release John.
Also I think it would be a good idea to make $postitle and $iplogged templated so you don't have to hardcode it.
