w-agora importer: remarks

Hi

At www.wizaz.pl/forum (http://www.wizaz.pl/forum) you can observe imported w-agora forum. Impex worked great :D Thumbs up! for guys & Jerry :)

Although to make it heavenly superiour you need to work on some small issues:

a. Attachments from Agora are not being imported into vB. I have set filesystem in attachment storage before started working with Impex.

b. Some of the posts are doubled.

c. All "Imported" usergroups are doubled.

d. I have no clue how to update user counters like post count (Import & Maintenance -> Update counters seems to have some difficulties).

e. User profile creation date is being set to 1970-01-01 for all imported users. As far as I know Agora has this information in users table :)


That's it for the time being. I'll keep you updated.

Sounds like a re-run module to me, for this to happen.

I can make copy of dbase and corresponding attachments. But - you can check table "attachments" to see where agora stores the files (only filesystem storage is possible at agora).

Your decision - if yes I will drop you download links in PM.

I've done and added the module, down load impex again, clear your session and all imported data and give it a rerun (btw : takes +40 mins for 85,000 attachments, importing into the database opposed to the file system).

Set up if you want the attachments in the database or the filesystem before you do the import, it will save time.

The base path it asks for is the one thats you forums folder is in.

Example full path for an attachment file :

/home/jerry/www/forums/ogloszenia/usmiechnijsie/notes/99997.032s.jpg
