I'm using Big Brother monitoring on my server as well, and have to say I am very impressed with it. Feel free to check it out at http://www.fast4gl.net/bb/

Actually the load is 4.57.... and I was creating an searchable index of about 20k web pages so that's normal.

Thanks everyone.

Saw here that you were using Big Brother...was it wasy to install and are you continuing to have good experience with it?
I assume that it wont run on a non-dedicatd server since it looks like you need root access.
Thanks for the info
Dave

I'm running on it many servers that I manage, and I find it to be an invaluable tool for monitoring performance and being alerted to problems.
It's not easy to install though (you need some good Linux skills and have to be comfortable installing software), and you should have root access (although I don't think it's required).

I will never ever ever ever ever use BB again after using netsaint.
Different class altogether.
