Alternative Backup Methods

I am waiting for my host to contact me regarding SSH, in the mean time I would like to try other methods of Backup if there are other ways of backup.

For example, I have the option of exporting my database from my MySQL control panel at the AdminCP of the website, check this window:

Should be - I have to warn you that I haven't actually installed that hack myself - I'm still reading up on it - but if I read it correctly (IIRIC?) the sql file can include drop/create table statements which will mean that you can run it on a clean database and rebuild the structure.
