Server Move Info Needed

I'm about to move my site to a new server and has a couple of questions needed to be answered before I go along with it.

1. Do I simply move ALL files from one server to the other?
2. Will attachments etc. work on the new server?
3. When moving the database, is it simply to re-configure the config.php file and the site will come alive?

If there's more info I need to know, please let me know.

Note: The only reliable method of backing up and restoring a database is with shell access via telnet or ssh. Please see the instructions here:

Backup:

This is because backing up with a PHP script like that in the Admin CP or phpMyAdmin can result in PHP timeouts errors and an incomplete backup file.

Thanks, I got the site working on the new server, but I have problems with the attachments.. they don't show up, just the border around where they should be.

Do you have attachments in the database or file system? What;s a link to a post containimng one of these attachments?
