I was using APLUS.net for my hosting and they had me on a server with a thousand other websites. Needless to say my loading speed sucked donkey balls. Tim and his crew at ASO transferred my site over for me free of charge and things are great so far. Now just playing the waiting game with the domain name server change.

Two thumbs up for ASO and all the guys there. First time I have ever sent a support request email at 1:30am and got a response in 15 minutes.

Come back in a couple months and update this review. Doesn't hold much weight so early in the game.

They have worked well for me for several months. Service is Top Notch. Do a search for asmallorange and you'll find many happy customers here.

If I signed up to the medium plan would it allow me to have a mysql database that runs up to the limit of 1000mb or is it a database with a separate size restriction ?

My understanding is that the databases you have count toward your storage limit. You can have all the databases you want, but their size counts toward your overall storage limit.

Check with help@asmallorange.com to be sure.

That is correct

One point to make. Many hosts charge if you want additional databases, ASO does not.

I may well go with these guys.

Im absolutely sick to death of searching, reading, researching and talking to tech guys who dont know the answers to my questions

Going to join the aso forum and post some questions.

I have been with ASO for almost a year. I really can't say enough nice things about Tim Dorr and the people who work with him. The customer service and technical support are top-notch. Prices are reasonable. They don't seem to overload servers. I'm as happier with ASO than I've ever been with a webhost.
