I have an existing VBulletin board, that someone else manages and handles on their own personal server, that I'd like to port to a provider who will remotely-host it and handle any software updates, etc. A host that has strong experience with VBulletin. Suggestions?

psst, you should go into the members area and update your email because you are showing up as unlicensed.
There are lots of good hosts out there, how big is your current forum? :)

I'm the licensee. The forum has:
-almost 1 Million posts
-5000-6000 registered users
-200-300 users online throughout the day. It's a professional forum, so it's busier through the day, less so on weekends and evenings.
- Server load sits at about .5 % to 2.5%, though there are other processes running on the server.
- it's currently located on a 2.8Ghz Dell 750 with 1oK scsi. Server/mysql/vbulletin are not optimized in any way (I suspect a knowledgeable vbulletin host could take this server load to a minimum).
- forum traffic is relatively stable, though growing. There are 2 days a year (marks are released for industry exams) that require a reasonable connection (think 5-10mbit), though the current server has been able to handle the strain.
Please respond here or pm the orig poster.

If you want to post in the Server Configuration forum, we can provide a helpful server config and recomendations.
If you want to add the user to your prioirty support list you can do so they can make the same post instead of you :)

Hi Zach,
He's looking for a host, not a new server. And I don't want to add him as a licensee, as he's not a licensee, he's investigating it.
So we come back to the original question - where can we find names of companies that host Vbulletin sites?

Anyone that runs php mysql and a webserver that can support both will get you along fine for the most part.
I cannot make any recomendations. Do try looking though the vBulletin Hosting Options forum though :)
