Hello

Our dog breed club needs a new bulletin board. We are finding it necessary to approve/disapprove all messages before they are visible to the public due to the nature of the breed, and the politics among the people. We don't allow any discussion of criminal activity, nor do we allow any bashing or hate talk.

We need to have only posts that have been approved to be visible.
We need more security than just a user name and password

Is that an option of vBulletin?

Thank you
Meers

Yes, you can moderate new posts. You can also set this up to do either by Usergroup and/or Forum.

vBulletin is a great platforum that does everything you asked and alot more. Its also easily customized to do other things - I love it, you couldnt make a better choice IMO.

You'll be able to pick people to be moderators/custodians to approve messages. Unless you, the administrator want to approve every message yourself. :)

And if you trust established members to post good posts in the correct place, you can promote those people to a usergroup that can post without having to wait for moderation.

Theres also a promotions system where you could automatically move members from one usergroup to the other when they hit certain criteria like a # of posts.
