Hi,
it would be good to force a minimum words per post (not counting signature).
I just had a user who replied to 28 messages with crap stuff such as "Oh ya" "Not true" "I agree" "haha"......
And I would like to prevent this with a minimum words (characters ?) Admin function....

I'll pass on such a feature to be honest. Sometimes someone just wants to say LOL! to a post. What's wrong with it?

and i can imagine why too.. i have the complete opposite - members on my old board would at least write 20 - 40 lines of essay in their posts... very hard keeping up with them...

Hey singloon/eva - whassup :)
I have the latter problem as well. My members will post a dissertation on a topic that only requires a "I agree". I don't know which is worse, a lot of tiny little posts, or fewer large and long posts.
If anything, there should be a filter for stupid topics... :p

More little posts= more page views and less space used :D

Benj true... my vbulletin went online yesterday and with only 3 members we managed to rack up 240 posts and 2,400 pageviews in one day

What it comes down to is this: If you have a user that has nothing to say but "blah", and you require a minimum of 10 words per post, it's just going to make him say "blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah" instead.
Might as well save the disk space.

After having an admin go awol and start his own BBS and switching from UBB to vB. The two combined has basically put our BBS traffic at an all time low.
Send all those one line posters to us. We'll welcome them with open arms. Hell tell em I might even pay them to post one liners. Can you tell I'm a bit upset!
