Server Management Scripts

Hey guys,

I installed WebMin (open source server management program) and it is pretty good. I was curious if guys know of any other "off the shelf" programs free or for a price?

i use webhost manger for server admin and cpanel for each virtual site i setup from webhost manger - both programs are at www.cpanel.net

they cost US$299/month - yes monthly

or US$25/month if you are colocated with www.vdi.net or a web host who is colocated with vdi.net

i'm with www.venturesonline.com which is colocated with www.vdi.net :D

i used webmin for my rackspace.com server i use to have and it was great just for server admin but whm/cpanel is awesome demos are at www.cpanel.net as well

Yikes! I didn't realize it was that expensive. I guess I'll just stick to WebMin :).

What type of scripts/system were you looking for? WebMin handles the administrative aspect of the server very nicely, however it doesn't provide any interface for your users to manage their account. If I knew exactly what you need the scripts for (I.E. what are you doing with this server?), I may be able to provide you with a better recommendation.

Well...have you guys heard of "netmax" ? Their site is www.netmax.com. They offer a really cool solution for people doing webhosting that don't want to "manage" the server through telnet, its all web based management.

I've used their products in the past, the only reason I passed it up this time was because they haven't released a new version based on the new Linux Kernel. Take a look at their site...
