Warning: Avoid Site5!

This is not meant to be a rant or a flame, just a friendly warning. Beware of Site5. com as they are not a very reliable place to host your forum. They have admitted to overselling their server capacity and booting off accounts to keep their overloaded servers running.

My vBulletin site was just booted off today for excessive resource usage. I have their $32.99 reseller plan, supposedly with 100GB per month. My vB site which got booted today, had only used about 1.5GB of for the month. None of the other sites under the account were affected, just that one.

My advice would be to look elsewhere.

Obviously bandwidth wasn't the main issue. Concurrent mysql connections. Now that may be a different story though I would think you would be using more bandwidth if that usage stat was from the start of the month.

Sure there are hosts who could easily handle your VB forum with out blinking an eye. Good luck!

I almost was going to use them after my mboard started growing, but someone on another mboard mentioned they were being ask to move after their forum got popular. I ended up keeping the board at the same host after I figured how to reduce bandwidth, like moving some images off site.
