Eve - 4.03

I am ready to import but noticed that the current format for import of infopop is 4.02, now I have 4.03, do I just try and hope for the best?

I am unaware of any schema changes between the versions (though it is lightly).

Yes, give it a go and if anything goes wrong, raise a support ticket, ask for Jerry and I'll find the diffrences and update the importer for you.

Can I ask is there a dummies guide to doing this?

I have downloaded my backup which is a .gz file, I have gunzipped it to a mega 256MB.
Now I have read other threads about putting eve in its own database and someone said they had 7 files?? I only have this one massive one.

If someone can point me to step by step instructions that would be great.

I have set up Impex ok, thats all there and looking fine.

Its just Im not sure what to with the eve files.

That file is SQL, its a text representation of the EVE database.

You'll need to load it into a database so that impex can read the data out of it.

You can do it like this :
