I hope this doesn't get taken the wrong way here, but what would be the advantages of buying vBullettin over just downloading the phbb package from phbb.com?
Also, if I buy vBulletin could I use free downloads from other site's or would that not be recommended?
Thanks

There is a considerable difference between phpbb & vB. One HUGE issue is security.
As far as you dl'ing from a free site, what do you mean? Hacks & add-ons, or do you mean the forum software itsself?
After paying for vB, you will be sent an email with the download information.

Thanks. I've watch all of the Flash Tutorials on the phbb site and pretty much everything seems to be very admin friendly and GUI based. Is vBulletin pretty simple to administer? I guess all the code talk worries me a little.
As far as downloads I was talking about add-on's, templates, and things like that. Would it be possible that I've purchased vBulletin, but find a template or some other utility out there that Id like to add, or would all the add-on's and templates need to come from vBulletin?
