I migrated UBB to vB 1.1.6 today. After importing around 1/4 million posts and firing it up, I had my first major crash within about 2 hours. I got the dreaded 1016 "Can't open file" error that several others have gotten.
It seems that when this happens, the answer is always "I guess the database was corrupt." The follow up question is always "How did it get corrupt?" and there is never an answer.
So, is there any MySql tuning that needs to be done for a vB installation with 240,000 posts, and about 50-100 users active at any given time? Can this thing scale this high?
If it happens again, I'll have to bag it.
