Is it possible to pickup spyware from a forum? Is there some way that a user can get spyware from visiting my site? I'm getting so tired of people thinking they've picked-up spyware from one of my sites. It's ridiculous. It's not happening because it would be more wide-spread than one nut-job during any given month complaining. But I'm sick of writing the same crap every month explaining to some nut how he's picking it up...

Stock Everything? No way, if you have ads and popups, absolutly.

So ads can contain spyware, huh? I guess Flash ads? I'm using ads from reputable companies like Burst Media. Would you say it's more than likely that a company of this stature would check for things like this?

Malicious HTML can deliver spyware. Firefox won't receive it, hint hint. :)

Any browser will open you to spyware. If a website asks you to install anything and you do your had. I don't care what browser you are using it can't be stopped unless you don't click the install button. True Firefox will block unwanted activex installs. It will not stop any kind of download to initialize. You have to do that yourself by canceling the download box. 90% of spyware gets on a persons computer because they blindly click ok on anything that tries to install when they visit a website. Firefox is a great browser and does protect to a certain extent, however, stupidity can't be fixed by any browser.
Burst Media serves whatever ads a company supplies. Many times I've had their ads try to install malware.

One of the reasons why HTML is turned off on most forums...
