Active Topics Question

Is there anyway to have the active topics link just show topics from a particular category?

I would like to make 2 links one for active topics in category 1 and one for active topics in category 2.

getdaily=yes&action=dosearch&searchdate=1

Possible to tack a 'category=1' or similiar on that?
