It's a basic CMS that has the ability to integrate with a vBulletin forum. Has anyone ever used this? And if so, could you make a list of your personal gripes and praises?
Thanks :)

Looks pretty good, I'm about to start searching the market for a new CMS, this one looks good enough to give it a try

I'm using it with phpBB.
it seems to do the job
I really like www.vBadvanced.com much better though.
It keeps more to the look of vB.

That's the look I'm trying to get away from. It seems like every site nowaday's has that block look.

Well you could edit the templates, the sites i see it on still have a block layout, It just doesnt look like it due to the way its coded.

Then I think subdreamer would be good.
I will say the support has been good whenever I had a problem or question.
I am using subdreamer with phpBB at

Note: After 1/20/05 it may be taken down.

I was just checking it out myself. I noticed it's for both vb and phpBB... Looks like they didn't bother with IPB!

Well if I don't hear anything about the vBCMS in the next few months, i'll probably just go with Subdreamer.

I will never change

Yeah, I own a SD licence, and I am waiting for the next version to come out, before I go into a production environment with it.

The one you're thinking of isn't the official one Jelsoft is creating.

Couple of questions about vBadvanced.... does it come with its own image system? tgillespie is using it and he has an image system, is that custom, a hack, or included? also, does it allow for uploads of movies and exe files? Also, would i be able to pull out the latest news and put them into a single page outside of the portal itself? And do the news bits automatically get posted in the forums?
Finally, could I have 4 of them connected to one main forum....

Because it's not done and they don't talk about it ;).

They've only slightly hinted at it insofar. Like, we know they're working on it and they're at least half way done. We also know that the next major release of vB will include code that will be used to integrate the CMS with vB3. But as far as release details, features, or screenshots go, that's a no-no :p

I've been using Subdreamer on my site, GTPlanet (http://www.gtplanet.net/), for about 9 months now and I've been extremely happy with it. Once you get used to it, the category/plugin system is brilliant and the customer support is outstanding!!!

How come in a portion of the URL to your forums it says "PHPSESSID" then a bunch of letters and numbers? I noticed it was like that on a lot of Subdreamer sites.
Also, is it easy to add stuff to the subdreamer pages, like adsense? And what features will be in the next version?

I don't know anything about those PHPSESSID's - you'll need to ask the developer about that and the next version's features, too. I'm not informed enough to answer that. Using Adsense is as easy as pasting the code into the correct "plugin".

I have not had one issue with Subdreamer. Love the support, couldn't have had any better. Couple of sites of mine running Subdreamer.
