Hi ya

I have finally given up goat and will cancel my CIHost dedicated server due to their lack of service (basically they changed 16 of my IP addresses without any notification).

What would you choose?
Celeron 633
256 Ram
20GB HD
Plesk Control Panel
8 Ips
20GB Transfe 24/7 LIve support
15 DS-3 Lines +
For $150 Setup and $160 a month.
www.pwebtech.com

or

866 MHZ Pentium III, 256KB cache
128 MB ECC RAM
20.5 GB, EIDE Hard Drive
RedHat 6.2
Webhost Manager and Cpanel3
Apache Webserver
*10 IPs
25 GB of Burstable Traffic
For $200 Setup Fee $200.00 Per Month
+ $75 for 128mb extra
www.venturesonline.com/Dedicated_Servers/dedicated_servers.html

I am swaying towards the VO one due to Martin + Eva loving theirs - plus CPanel is sweet and Plesk is kinda slow and annoying.

What are your views?

Any other suggestions?

My current server is a
Celeron 600, 192mb ram, 30gb IDE hd, 20gb per month limit, 24 IPs for $165

for peace of mind and future forum growth go for VO :D

my vB is getting 2,000 visitors/day ~ 120 max users and up to 1,800 posts/day

+

my film site is getting 15,000 visitors/day and i installed ikonboard for the forum with up to 215+ users on the forum (just browsing :( )

and the load is only around 0.05 - 0.45 right now !!

hardware i'm on:
VO's plan 4 - Dual p3 866, 512mb (soon to be 768mb ram) with 18gb 10k scsi drive

Note: right now VDI.net who Venturesonline is colocated with is having problems with level3 backbone so take that into account.

I'd stay away from celeries :)

I'm quite happy with VO. Daniel and Paul have been really helpful and fast in replying.

Great thing about VO is that it is a month to month contract :)

My mind is made up :)

PS - My celeron server has about 25 domains off it, load is about 0.5 :)
