Hello there,
I am currently running a pretty big forum based on phpBB and I would like to switch to your software. Is it possible to switch my 3000 members and the content of our forum? It is highly important to me that this will go without too much trouble. Also, is it possible to tranfer all the members plus content (also attached pictures) and run it simultainiously to see if everything works fine before we close the old forum down?
Thanks in advance :)

It is perfectly possible to convert your forum from phpBB to vB. If you want to make a dry run to see if everything works, install your forum on your PC or a second time on the server if possible and run the upgrade.

Hello,
Thank you for your interest in the vBulletin forum software.
vBulletin forum software comes with a free ImpEx software which allows you to import your database from third party forum software like phpBB to vBulletin.
Here is the status of the impex system and which forum software versions it supports (and what it actually imports)

We're looking forward to your purchase,

Thanks for the replies. I will check into that and probably purchase a copy today. Will I be able to get help if things don't run as they should?

Hello again,
I just purchased your software and installed everything like told. I am in the Control Panel now and I am doing some changes but I just received an error message for some weird reason:
Database error in vBulletin :
Invalid SQL:
SELECT title, data
FROM datastore
WHERE title IN ('options', 'cron', 'forumcache', 'usergroupcache', 'stylecache', 'userstats', 'birthdaycache', 'maxloggedin', 'iconcache', 'eventcache', 'mailqueue')
mysql error: Table 'xdattac_forum.datastore' doesn't exist
mysql error number: 1146
What is that about??
